Expand Gender Categories Beyond Hardcoded Options

Currently, the gender field in the People section in Violations is hardcoded to include only "Female," "Male," "Unknown," and "Unspecified." We've been told that this selection makes it difficult to accurately represent individuals who identify as a gender identity not currently listed. While the system allows updates to ethnicity options, gender fields appear to be locked, which limits flexibility and inclusivity.

Possible Options to Address this Limitation:
  • A. Add an additional gender option such as "Other."
  • B. Ideally, gender options should be moved out of hardcoded values and into a configurable list—similar to the ethnicity field—so that system administrators can manage them through the admin interface.
