Guest Vehicles on Temp Permits are not Searchable or Associated with the Driver
Currently, if someone reserves a temporary permit, the license plate is not searchable at all. In addition, it disappears completely after the permit expires.
If someone drives a rental car, for example, and gets a ticket, the rental car won't come up as being associated with the driver even though they have a temporary permit reserved. Then when the permit expires, the rental vehicle is gone and the ticket doesn't appear on the habitual offender list because it is not associated to the driver.
Yes, we can add the vehicle and plate to the driver profile, but it is a rental car and doesn't need to be on their profile permanently but any tickets do need to stay associated to the driver for the habitual offender list.
Sometimes students drive a parent's car and it would be nice to reserve a temporary permit for these but keep the vehicle and tickets associated to the student driver in case they drive it again in the future.
