Real-Time Sync for Footer Changes Across Web and Handheld Interfaces

Currently, when changes are made to footers—either on the Web Admin interface or for tickets/violations—those updates do not automatically appear on handheld devices. The updates only take effect after the app is manually refreshed by clearing it from the device’s memory (typically by swiping it closed and reopening it). This can create confusion for enforcement staff who may not realize updates have been made, especially when footers include important legal or instructional text.

Request:
It would be highly beneficial if the system could be improved to support real-time syncing of footer changes across both platforms. Specifically:
  • Footer changes made in the Admin Web Interface should push live to the handheld without requiring a full app restart or manual refresh.
  • This applies to both general system footers and ticket/violation-specific footers.
Why This Matters:
  • Ensures enforcement staff always have the most accurate, up-to-date information on their devices.
  • Reduces the risk of outdated legal disclaimers or instructions being issued on printed violations.
  • Improves operational efficiency and confidence in system responsiveness.
Ideal Outcome:
A more dynamic and responsive sync mechanism that automatically reflects admin-side configuration changes (like footers) across all connected handheld devices in real time—or at least with minimal delay and without requiring manual intervention.
